With a mission to give back to the society, Sobha Group, under the guidance of the chairman Mr. Menon has done a wave of philanthropic work to empower and encourage the underprivileged. The philanthropic wing of the company has dedicated itself to bringing a difference in specific sectors of development that can easily be replicated in other societies. The organization gives 50% of its profits back to society, which provides educational opportunities for underprivileged individuals and creates sustainability for women and elderly in poor socio-economic conditions.
We have been donating and sponsoring various programs that strive to provide necessities such as education and healthcare for those who are less fortunate.
In addition, Sobha has been providing employment opportunities to the marginalized communities.
This philanthropic work done by Sobha is an example of how businesses can use their resources and influence for the greater good of the society. The contribution of Mr. Menon is admirable and met with the gratitude by thousands of people who have been massively impacted by his initiatives. Shri Kurumba Education and Charitable Trust, the CSR wing of Sobha Developers LTD, is a registered charitable and educational society formed with the intention of molding the next generation of professionals with a global edge. The society aims to reduce the economic disparities in society.

Our Initiatives
Sobha Hermitage
With the intention of creating a haven for the elderly, Sobha Hermitage was established in the heart of Kerala. It provides the aged with a roof to live under, a safe and secure space, food, and medical care. For the help of young mothers, we have provided a space and the resources to recuperate from postnatal complications at the Sobha Young Mother Rehabilitation Program.
Sobha Rural Women Empowerment Program
Through the Sobha Rural Women Empowerment Program, 50 widowed women from the Kizhakkenchery Panchayat are taken under our wing and are being covered for all their expenses. From allowances, clothing, medical expenses, and other regular requirements, we take care of it all. Additionally, we cover their children’s education expenses to pave their way for a better future
Sobha Academy
With over 900 underprivileged students being taken on board, Sobha Academy provides basic education in a school with state-of-the-art infrastructure and technology. The main intent of the academy was to help underprivileged kids break the unending loop of poverty for their families.
Sobha Icons
At Sobha Icons we identify gifted individuals in the government education systems, to help them etch their best path possible to their dream future. They are given access to a uniquely designed program that helps them hone their educational prowess to achieve their goals. This program prides itself in producing 100% distinctions.
Sobha Vocational Training Centre
To empower the rural youth, we introduced the Sobha Vocational Training Centre for them to pick a vocation of their choice and master its craft. This is achieved by giving them access to training centers, paid apprenticeships, and employment opportunities. It provides courses for carpentry, computer education, music and tailoring among many others.
Sobha Healthcare Centre
With an aim to provide free and accessible healthcare, a state-of-the-art health care center was set up to become Sobha’s flagship CSR initiative. With the involvement of the adopted panchayat, Sobha Academy and Sobha Hermitage, the Sobha Health Care Centre provides free primary healthcare, medical checkups, and treatment to the underprivileged. Since its inception, the health care center has provided medical help to over 11,000 people from 2500 families
Integrated Housing Community – Devi Home
Sobha Community center is a spacious and beautiful community center that was set up to be utilized for medical camps, training classes and community weddings. It also houses a dining hall that can seat around 300 people and serves two free meals for the needy every day.
Sobha Dowry-Less Social Weddings
A charitable trust has been set up to conduct weddings for the people who cannot afford it, while ensuring it is dowry free. We also provide couples counselling and have helped over 500 married couples till date.
Sobha Green Initiative
Our CSR wing has been working tirelessly to reduce its carbon footprint and to help preserve the environment. Under the Sobha Green Initiative, we have introduced large scale rainwater harvesting, preservation of over 3000 varieties of flora and fauna, and efficient waste management systems.
