Job Summary

The Senior Procurement Engineer - Stone & Marble will be responsible for overseeing and managing the procurement of stone, marble, and related materials for civil construction and finishing projects. This role will involve strategic sourcing and procurement of high-quality stone and marble products from both domestic and international suppliers, ensuring that materials meet project specifications, quality standards, and budget constraints. The Senior Procurement Engineer will also collaborate closely with project teams, engineers, and architects to align procurement activities with project needs and timelines.

Scope of Work

  1. Procurement Strategy Development
    Develop and implement procurement strategies for stone, marble, and related materials, ensuring alignment with project requirements and organizational goals. Focus on both domestic and global sourcing to secure competitive pricing, high-quality materials, and reliable suppliers.

  2. Supplier Sourcing & Relationship Management
    Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with stone and marble suppliers across various regions, including international markets. Manage supplier performance and ensure timely delivery of materials according to project timelines and specifications.

  3. Negotiation 
    Lead negotiations with stone and marble suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions. Ensuring compliance with legal requirements, quality standards, and delivery timelines.

  4. Risk Mitigation & Compliance
    Assess and mitigate risks related to the procurement of stone and marble materials, including quality issues, import/export regulations, and supply chain disruptions. Ensure adherence to regulatory and environmental standards in both domestic and international markets.

  5. Collaboration & Coordination
    Work closely with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure the seamless integration of stone and marble procurement into the overall project workflow. Provide technical expertise on material selection, quality assurance, and cost optimization.

  6. Cost Management & Budget Control
    Monitor and control procurement budgets for stone and marble materials, identifying cost-saving opportunities while maintaining high quality and supplier reliability. Conduct regular market analysis to stay informed of industry trends and price fluctuations.

Key Technical Requirements

  • Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Civeil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of experience in procurement, with a strong focus on sourcing and managing stone, marble, and related materials for construction or finishing projects.
  • Global Sourcing: Demonstrated experience in sourcing stone and marble from both domestic and international suppliers, with an understanding of global supply chain dynamics.
  • Contract & Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to negotiate and manage contracts related to stone and marble procurement, ensuring favorable terms and compliance with project requirements.
  • Market Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the stone and marble market, including key suppliers, material types, quality standards, and industry trends.
