Procurement Engineer for Facilities Management oversees the acquisition of goods and services critical to the efficient operation of facilities. This role involves crafting procurement strategies for consumables, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring procurement activities align with the operational needs and budget constraints of the facilities. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in facilities procurement, with excellent organizational and negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute procurement strategies for goods and services related to facilities management, including maintenance supplies, repair services, cleaning services, and utilities.
  • Collaborate with facilities management teams to understand their needs and develop procurement plans that meet operational requirements and budget limitations.
  • Identify, assess, and select suppliers and service providers based on quality, cost, and reliability.
  • Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing to through effective procurement strategies.
  • Ensure that procured goods and services meet the required quality standards and support the operational needs of facilities management
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of procurement activities, including contracts, purchase orders, and performance documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration
  • Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on facilities management or related services.
  • Proficient in negotiation and contract management
  • Experienced with procurement software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, e-sourcing platforms)
  • Knowledgeable about facilities management processes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on achieving operational and budgetary goals.
