Job Summary

Deputy Manager/ Manager – HSSE (ERT) will be responsible for leading all emergency preparedness, response, and recovery operations related to safety & security during night shift. This role involves developing and implementing emergency response plans, managing site security & safety emergencies, ensuring readiness of emergency equipment, and leading a trained Emergency Response Team. The manager shall ensure rapid and effective response to emergency & shall be the point of communication with local regulatory bodies in case of emergency. The candidate should be an excellent decision maker, capable of taking swift, confident, and effective action in case of incidents such as such as fires, medical emergencies, security breaches or other issues.

Job description:

• Design, update, and enforce ERPs for all types of emergencies including fire, medical, utility failure, chemical spill, maintenance and security incidents, in compliance with local regulations.
• Manage Emergency Coverage & work in Night Shifts.
• Serve as the primary commander during emergencies, directing firefighting, rescue, first aid, evacuation, and liaising with local regulatory bodies. 
• Lead the ERT comprising fire marshals, first aiders, security personnel, and rescue staff. 
• Assign responsibilities, evaluate readiness, and ensure continuous skill development.
• Plan and execute multi-scenario emergency drills (e.g., fire, confined space rescue, gas leak) during night to validate readiness across all shifts.
• Capable of handling safety and security emergencies, demonstrating the ability to make quick, sound decisions under pressure to protect people, property, and operations.
• Ensure the availability and effectiveness of all emergency communication channels to support timely and clear information flow during incidents at any time, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications and Skills

• Any bachelor’s degree (preferably engineering degree)
• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent certification.
• Extensive knowledge of HSSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Certified first aider & fire fighting.
• Excellent decision-making skills.
• Excellent knowledge in MS office.
• Fluent in English & Hindi.
• Valid UAE Driving License.
